1. No restriction - with vodafone firmware, you CANNOT set MP3 as ringtone unless they are downloaded from VODAFONE LIVE, however, with generic firmware, this restriction will be REMOVED!! so you can download and use whatever MP3 ringtone you like.
2. Firmwere upgrade: We will upgrade your firmware to the latest verison during the debranding, so you will benefit from less bugs, better battery life and faster speed.
3. No shortcut - All Vodafone/orange startup, shortcut, Wap or default GPRS settings will be removed, so you will not take to the operator site by pressing a wrong button OR you can input whatever GPRS settings you want.
Please notice with vodafone firmware, even your phone is unlocked, when you use other service provider sim, say O2, you will not be able to send the picture message access to WAP (because the vodafone settings being set as DEFAULT and you cannot take them out or put anything on top of it). Therefore, DEBRAND (flashing the phone with generic firmware) is necessary cos the generic firmware allow you to set any GPRS / WAP settings you want.
4. More memory - since the customised icons and themes took some space!
